The All Nagaland Students Union (ANCSU) has appealed to Nagaland Chief Secretary for urgent intervention in ensuring the immediate appointment of the Chairman and Members of the Nagaland Public Service Commission (NPSC) as per the recruitment rules.
In a representation to the Chief Secretary, ANCSU stated that the Chairman and Members of NPSC had vacated the position/office on September 13, 2025 whereas the absence of the Chairman and members has hindered the normal functioning of the office in upholding efficiency and accountability in public service recruitment.
“The prolonged vacancies in the post of chairman and members have created backlash in upholding transparency and meritocracy in public services. Wherein, resulted menace to thousands of aspirants career, as administrative stagnation has disrupted where several decision that require approval of fully constituted commission remains pending and created uncertainty and stress among the aspirants,” ANCSU president, Kivika Yeptho and general secretary, Sotilo Tep said.

Stating that there is no valid reason in delaying the appointment of the chairman and members, the ANCSU appealed to the Chief Secretary to initiate and expedite the issuance of the official notification and immediately appoint a chairman and the requisite members to ensure that the commission resumes its full functioning at the earliest, without further delay.
