ANCSU Celebrates 44th Foundation Day and Felicitates Degree Toppers

Kohima: Honorable MLA Achumbemo Kikon stressed the significance of utilizing intelligence for societal benefit and urged students to tackle life’s challenges with determination and resilience

The All Nagaland College Students Union (ANCSU) commemorated its 44th foundation day with a special event to honor the Degree Toppers. The celebration took place on August 2nd, 2023, at the State Academy Halls in Kohima.

Guest speaker Achumbemo Kikon, Honorable MLA of the Government of Nagaland and former speaker of ANCSU, extended warm congratulations to the degree toppers and motivated them with encouraging words. He expressed his belief in the potential of the young achievers, stating that they are smarter and have the capacity to make significant contributions to the future. He emphasized the importance of using one’s intelligence to benefit society and encouraged the students to face life’s challenges with determination and resilience.

During the event, the Honorable MLA highlighted the significance of academic achievement in shaping one’s educational journey. He emphasized that the accomplishments achieved so far are just the beginning, and as students’ progress towards greater goals in life, they will encounter various challenges. He stressed the importance of developing problem-solving skills and adaptability to overcome these challenges and make a positive impact on society.

The event was graced with God’s blessings by Rev. Dr. Wepre Mero, pastor of Chakhesang Baptist Church, Minister Hill, Kohima. Toito D Chishi, President of ANCSU, delivered a presidential speech, and the celebration continued with the cutting of a commemorative cake. Imtinaro Imsong, Education Secretary of ANCSU, felicitated the degree toppers from various colleges, while representatives from different colleges, including Maongnaro Longkumar from Modern College, Kohima, and Khelhoshe from Polytechnic, Atoizu, shared their thoughts on behalf of the toppers. Fazl Ali College, Mokokchung, presented a special musical performance, adding to the festive atmosphere.

The celebration concluded with a vote of thanks expressed by Dzuzuve Swuro, Assistant General Secretary of ANCSU, expressing gratitude to all those who contributed to the success of the event.
