The All Nagaland College Students’ Union (ANCSU) has stated its strong condemnation of the incident that took place in Zeliangrong Colony, Dhobinallah, Dimapur where a student of Unity College was shot dead in Dimapur.

Describing the act as ‘inhuman and barbarous’, ANCSU requested ‘all right-thinking citizens and organizations to vehemently condemn such heinous crime’ so that justice is delivered, and such acts do not repeat in the future.

ANCSU also appealed to the law enforcing agencies to award capital punishment to the culprit as per the law of the land and demanded that the accused is not granted bail.

The union offered its condolences to the bereaved family of the deceased and prayed for comfort and solace to all her dear ones.

Late Supou P, an MA History Final Year student of Unity College died of gunshot injuries around midnight on 8 May 2023. Police have arrested two men in suspicion, and investigation is ongoing. Both the men reportedly belong to the NSCN -Khango group.
