Animal Health camp-cum-training on livestock farming held for 10th Northern Angami-1

Kohima: 45 dogs and cats vaccinated, medicines distributed to farmers during programme

Animal Health camp-cum-training on livestock farming and awareness programme on on-going schemes (NLM, CMMFD) was conducted on Friday at P. Khel Council Hall, Kohima Village for the 10th Northern Angami-1 A/C 2023-24. DIPR said that the event was an undertaking of the village adoption programme.

The awareness seminar was provided for 35 livestock farmers on piggery, rabbitry and poultry farming and various on-going Schemes/Projects like NLM, CMMFI etc. in A.H & Veterinary service department.

The resource persons for the seminar were Dr Keyolenu Yore, VAS and Dr. N. Soukhrie, VAS. Free Anti Rabies Vaccination was also provided by Dr. Elizabeth Yhome, VAS, Biseno, VFA and Tiabenla, VFA wherein 45 dogs and cats were vaccinated. Animal health care treatment was conducted by Dr. Kekhrie, VAS, Tseilievi, VFA and Ruopfuselie, VFA. Medicines, deworming, vitamins and mineral mixtures were distributed to 50 farmers.

The programme was chaired by Dr. D Rokozo Dolie, CVO, Kohima and welcome address was delivered by Kelhousetuo, Chairman, P. Khel, Kohima Village.
