The Chakka bandh by All Commercial Vehicle Owners Association has been demanding that the State government promptly release payments for the usage of their vehicles during the General Election in February 2023.

As the bandh reaches its fifth day and the Association continues to press its demands, the cattle continue to suffer without proper care. Despite the ongoing bandh, the Association of Mokokchung has assured to look after the cattle’s well-being. The Association has further called upon the government to urgently release the pending bills and be responsible about the public as well as animals’ wellbeing.
