The Annual Review Meeting FY 2023-24 of the on-going Nagaland Forest Management Project (NFMP) JICA, Tuensang Forest Division was held at CKS Hall, Tuensang on May 21, informed DIPR.
Gracing the program as the Special Guest, SDO © Tuensang, Sentilong Ozukum extended his gratitude and appreciation to the Tuensang Forest Division and all the villages und’r NFMP for their hard work and dedication towards the NFMP Projects. He advised the participants to understand the roles and responsibilities and to have leadership quality that enables an individual to guide, inspire and influence others effectively.
Ozukum also mentioned the importance of forest conservation as it plays a vital role for the health of the planet and the well-being of both humans and ecosystem and further encouraged all the participants to develop ones skills effectively as it enhances the performance and contribute to overall success.
Divisional Forest Officer cum DMU Head, Samom Khelen Singh, IFS in his keynote address gave a brief introduction about the on-going NFMP project where he emphasized the maintenance of record keeping to all JFMC’s and encourage the community for unity.

FMU Head, Tuensang, Menya Wongto presented a PowerPoint presentation where he outlined the implementation of the on-going activities in all the three ranges-namely FMU Tuensang, Longkhim & Noklak under NFMP. Welentola (Life care society) FNGO team also presented a power point presentation highlighting about the various activities of SHG’s IGA Business Plan and convergence activities with different departments in batch-I and II villages taken up under Life Care Society.
The honorarium was given to the best three villages along with certificate from each FMU for their commendable performance under NFMP. FMU Heads, DMU Support Staffs, FMU staffs, FNGO Team (LCS), JFMC members of Batch I, II & III villages and SHGs of Batch I & II villages attended the meeting.
Earlier, the programme was chaired by DMU Support staff, Neotola and welcome address was delivered L. Tsingthrise Sangtam, ADMU Head Tuensang. Vote of thanks was delivered by Imtimar Walling, FMU Head Noklak.
