The All Nagaland Taxi Association (ANTA) Kohima organised a felicitation programme today for children of its member drivers who secured Top rank and 1st Division in the recently declared HSLC Examination 2024. Swedesünü Sothu, daughter of Lorhesül Sothu, was came in Top 17th in the exam, was one of the 36 students felicitated during the programme held at ISBT, Kohima.
Speaking at the event, Angami Student Union President Khriesamhalie David Mere, the Special Guest, congratulated the successful candidates and encouraged them to carefully choose their career. He said that there are varieties of career to choose from and urged them to know their strength and choose the path best suited for them.
Mere emphasised the importance of possessing a passion and perseverance and advised the students not to let failure stop them from pursuing their dreams. Further, he urged them to appreciate the power of prayer and support from the family
The ASU President acknowledged the family and parents of all the successful candidates for their hard work and support in their children’s success. He also commended ANTA Kohima for their active participation and creating dedication and commitment in the society.
ANTA Kohima President Dziesevituo Solo highlighted that Education is wealth and it is something that cannot be stolen. He said these successful candidates are the future of Nagas and encouraged them to work harder than before. Solo also applauded the parents for their hard work to support their children and also the children for being diligent in their works and bringing pride to the Association.
Earlier, the programme was chaired by Victor Rutsa while Seyiesilie Solo blessed the program with invocation. Solomon Ritse pronounced the Vote of Thanks.
A sum of Rs 10,000 with certificate was presented to the topper and Rs 5000 to all the 1st division holders.
