The Longleng unit of All Nagaland Taxi Association (ANTA) has suspended taxi services from Longleng to Dimapur, Kohima, Tamlu and Mokokchung from 3 July 2023 due to the continuous landslide triggered by heavy rains between Longleng and Changtongya, causing blockage to NH 702.

The unit mentioned that numerous complaints were received from taxi drivers regarding the terrible road condition of the alternative route, Tangha-Kangching-Merangkong and the damages on their vehicles as a result of continuously plying the road.

Therefore, ANTA Longleng unit decided to call of services until the Longleng-Changtongya road is “suitable for resumption of service”.
