The All Nagaland Taxi Association (ANTA) Hq. Kohima, in press statement, made a plea before the Government of Nagaland seeking immediate disbursement of the full amount to the entitled Taxi Drivers and Owners in all the districts whose Taxis were requisitioned for security duty during the 14th Nagaland Assembly Election, 2023 which was conducted in the month of February.

For the past six months the ANTA has held meetings and notified the competent authority on numerous occasions, to release the pending requisition amount due to the Taxi Drivers and Owners, however their request has been ignored and disregarded.

“This cold gesture of the competent authority is not a welcoming impression and not worth appreciative,” stated the ANTA press release issued by its President Dziesevituo Solo, and General Secretary, Meyieho Hibo.

Therefore, it has once again requested the Government of Nagaland and its concerned Authority for “immediate response to the affected victims since the only income of the Taxi Drivers and Owners comes from their services rendered to the Public.”

The ANTA further noted that “the Union will stop all future co-operation with the Government of Nagaland with regard to Election matters in failing to pay off the dues.”
