In order to ensure public safety and maintain high service standards, the All Nagaland Taxi Association (ANTA) Wokha Unit has issued several directives to all the taxis registered under it.
All taxi drivers and owners have been advised to keep vehicle documents up to date including registration certificate (RC), insurance, pollution under control (PUC) certificate, and fitness certificate, while ensuring that all the documents are current and valid. They have been requested to carry original or digital copies of all required documents during operations, and renew documents promptly before expiry to avoid penalties or suspension.
The association also directed its members to conduct regular maintenance checks on brakes, tires, lights, horn, wipers, and other critical components; ensure vehicles are clean, both internally and externally, for passenger comfort; address any mechanical or safety issues immediately to prevent accidents or breakdowns; and equip vehicles with functional safety features like seat belts, fire extinguishers, and first-aid kits.

It also called for strict compliance and to cooperate with authorities during inspections to verify documents and vehicle condition.
“This directive is effective immediately and aligns with public safety regulations. Taxi owners are urged to prioritize passenger safety and uphold the reputation of our motto ‘Service to the public’,” the association stated in its order.
