The All Nagaland Taxi Association Wokha Unit celebrated the ANTA Raising Day cum Picnic Day on Saturday at Chukitong Area with the Assistant Regional Transport Officer (ARTO) Wokha Bendang Longchar as the Chief Guest.
In his address, Longchar greeted the ANTA family on their anniversary while enlightening some of the regulations set by the Transport Department to the gatherings. He also explained on the different types of licenses required for driving responsibilities and on the distinctions between licenses for transport vehicles, light vehicles, hazardous goods, and excavators. Further, the ARTO stressed that according to the Law, one must be eighteen years of age to obtain a light vehicle license and at least 21 for a transport vehicle license.

Longchar also urged all drivers to be responsible by maintaining their licenses, vehicles, proper permits, and adhere to Pollution Under Control (PUC) regulations.
Vice President of the All Commercial Vehicle Association (ACVA) in Wokha, Y Evungthung Ezung, expressed joy by seeing the unity that is prevailing among the ACVA members and its seven affiliated units. He extended gratitude to ANTA Wokha for their continuous support and collaboration with ACVA.
Lipenthung Ovung, General Secretary of ANTA, chaired the program while invocation prayer was delivered by Eyilo Patton, Deacon A G Church, Chukitong and the welcome address was delivered by President of ANTA, Renbemo Kikon.
