The Ao Senden has condemned the repairing of potholes with mud at the V.K. Town to Doyang stretch of the National Highway 61. In a letter addressed to the Deputy Chief Minister, Planning & Transformation, National Highway, today, the Organisation stated, “This is the dirtiest trick and the most insulting action that the Department of PWD (National Highway) can play and heap upon the Ao Senden for serving an ultimatum to do repair works.”

Regarding the ultimatum served earlier, the Ao Senden warned that if the repair works are not carried out in “right earnest” and as technically feasible in the remaining period of time to complete the 30 days ultimatum, it will carry out its own course of action. It further cautioned it will not be responsible for any untoward consequences that may arise.

Therefore, the Organisation requested the addressed authority to look into the matter and do the necessary repair works that befit a responsible Government’s Department for the welfare of the people.

“We are hoping that your dynamic leadership will ensure timely and proper action for the benefit of all concerned,” added the Senden.
