The Ao Senden has formally notified the Deputy Commissioner of Mokokchung that it, along with all civil societies under its banner, will abstain from participating in any State Government functions until the issue under contention is addressed by the Government.

In a letter dated August 12, 2025, signed by President Marsanen Imsong and General Secretary, Imtipokyim, the Ao Senden stated that the decision follows the joint meeting resolution of August 9,

2025, convened by the 5-Tribes Committee on Review of Reservation Policy, the five apex hohos, and

other stakeholders.

The resolution and the accompanying General Instructions for Non-Participation in State Government functions, issued on August 12, 2025, direct that no Ao Senden-affiliated body will take part in official programs until the Government fulfills the demands under discussion.
