The Ao Senden has submitted a complaint letter to the Director General of Police, Nagaland, against the Postmaster, Admins and Moderators of the Facebook group ‘The Patriotic Nagas’ for the “Defamatory, Insulting, Outrageous and despicable” post.

This was informed by the Ao Senden in a press release where it also informed that the delegation, led by the President Marsanen Imsong, handed over the letter to the DGP at his Office in Kohima on 13th November 2024 in the presence of Nagaland Police officers.

“The Ao Senden delegation was assured by the DGP that positive action shall be taken against the perpetrators at the earliest”, it said.

The apex organisation of the Ao tribe has further stated that it has placed its confidence on the Nagaland Police Department to resolve the matter and therefore requested all Ao citizens to stay calm and allow the law to take its own course of action. At the same time, the Ao Senden has reminded the citizens “to stay alert to deal with any exigency that may arise”.

The Ao Senden had earlier given time till 12th November 2024 for the group called ‘The Patriotic Nagas’ to produce the postmaster of the objectionable post.
