The Ao Students’ Conference (AKM) today condemned the ‘inhuman and barbarous incident’ that took place on October 17 where 54 years old Longshang, a Konyak brother, son of Changting from Longching Village, Mon District, was fatally shot by Moasangba Jamir.
“Such acts pose a threat to the society in a time when individuals at all levels are relentlessly pursuing the agenda of peace and harmony,” stated the AKM.
In a statement issued by its President Lanutoshi Aier and General Secretary Satemmongba, the AKM expressed regret over the gruesome act and condemned the violence in the strongest possible terms.

The AKM also extended condolences to the bereaved family and urged the law enforcing agencies to ensure a thorough and unbiased investigation.
“We stand in unwavering solidarity with the bereaved family and fervently pray that they may find solace during these difficult times,” added the AKM.
