In a press release dated 1 September 2023, AKM expressed deep concerns over the persistently poor telecom services in Mokokchung district that have plagued the area for the past few months.

Ao Students’ Conference, known for its active advocacy on various issues affecting the public, particularly the student community, highlighted the severe consequences of the subpar network quality. According to their statement, residents in the region have been grappling with daily network fluctuations and, at times, have been left with little to no connectivity. This disruption has posed significant challenges for students, impacting assignments, office communications, and essential transactions that heavily rely on internet services.

In light of these concerns, AKM has issued a compelling ultimatum to Jio Telecom Services providers in Mokokchung. They are calling for a genuine improvement in internet and connectivity services within one week. Failing to meet this deadline, Ao Students’ Conference has expressed their intent to initiate appropriate actions as they see fit.
