The Ao Union Noklak Town celebrated it’s Golden Jubilee under the theme “Veneration” on August 2 at the Multi Discipline Sports Statium, Noklak Town. The Jubilee was lighted up with spirit of love and unity amongst the Ao community in Noklak along with invitees from various tribals, churches and organisations.
Rev. Moatoshi, Pastor, Tuensang Town Ao Baptist Church in his address to the gathering stated that the Year of Jubilee is a year of good news of salvation. He lamented that with the increase of association in the current context, truth as diminished. Basing on the theme of the Jubilee “Veneration”, Moatoshi encouraged that one should respect of others, correct and teach one another and preserve good tradition. Further, he also urged to treat women equal to men as well as wear the true Christ identity.
Marsanen Imsong , President, Ao Union stated that tradition and language constitute the identity of the community. He appealed to respect and follow the visions laid by the pioneers, and urged on the need to respect and love each other. Later, he also unvieled the Jubilee Souvenir.
While congratulating the Ao Union for reaching the milestone of 50 years, DC Noklak, Arikumba extended the Tsungremmong greetings to the Ao community. Along with the Jubilee celebration , he urged to retrospect and introspect so that the union will grow more vibrant and stronger. The DC also appealed everyone to embrace the sense of belonginness.
Ngon, President, Khiamniungan Tribal Council narrated on how the Aos were the ones to bring Christianity and education, and expressed his gratitude to the pioneers of Ao Community for bringing unity among the Khiamniungan Tribe.

Congratulating the Union, Er. Daniel, Executive Engineer PWD ( R&B) Noklak Division, acknowledged the pioneers for achieving the goal. Reminding that the Ao tribes has always been a pioneer in many area, he urged them to continue to lead the people further.
Earlier, the program was chaired by Kathyinla Jamir , EAC Noklak, Invocation was pronounced by Tiajungba Ao, Pastor, Noklak Town Ao Baptist Church, and the Welcome address by Tianungba Asst. Commandant. Special number was presented by Merenkaba, Planning Asst. & Imkongsenla , PGT , and the vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Lanunochetla , DAO, Convenor, Jubilee Planning & Fundraising Committee.
