The Assam Rifles celebrated the Foundation Day of the Kohima Orphanage and Destitute Home, Kohima. The event was graced by Maj Gen Manish Kumar, SM**, who commended the tireless work being done by the Home for the underprivileged children of the region.

Speaking at the event, he emphasized the Assam Rifles’ longstanding commitment to societal welfare, particularly in reaching out to marginalized communities. Maj Gen Manish Kumar also highlighted the importance of community support and collective efforts in providing these children with a nurturing environment.

On the occasion, the Assam Rifles distributed a wide range of books, clothing, monetary aid and essential items such as food supplies and daily utility items to the children at the Kohima Orphanage and Destitute Home, encouraging education and ensuring they are equipped with basic necessities for their well-being and growth.
