The Assam Rifles organised a band display and dog show for students in Tuensang on Tuesday at Loyem Memorial Astro Turf Football Ground. The students witnessed with excitement the disciplined coordination, precision and skill of the Assam Rifles Bag Pipe Band, the PRO defence stated.
Sunil Thakur, Principal, Government Higher Secondary School, Tuensang, in his brief address, commended the commitment of the security forces in engaging the community and said that the students and the teachers were “thrilled to have witnessed such an incredible display of talent and unity among the community.”

The Commandant, 28 Assam Rifles, said that they were delighted to have an opportunity to organise the event for the students of Tuensang. “Our aim was to bring joy and inspiration to these young minds while showcasing the multifaceted capabilities of our force,” he added.
The event also provided an opportunity for the students to interact with AR fostering a sense of mutual respect and understanding. This interaction was emphasized on the role such as play in inspiring and motivating the younger generations.
The Assam Rifles stated that the band display and dog show left an incredible mark on all those who attended, reinforcing the importance of community engagement and unity.
