The Shamatore Battalion Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (North)/ 7 Sector AR conducted a medical camp at the remote village of Kingpao in Noklak district in Nagaland on Friday. The villagers received treatment for ENT issues, common cold, cough, aches and pains, the Assam Rifles informed.
119 villagers (42 males, 47 females and 30 children) were said to have attended the medical camp.

The armed forces further said that warm clothing were also distributed to the villagers keeping in consideration the extreme cold weather experienced by the area.
A sewing machine was also gifted to the Pastor of the church at Kingpao Village. The church decided to keep the sewing machine at the church so that villagers can use it whenever required.
The villagers were grateful to the Assam Rifles for the initiative and its commitment.
