Assam Rifles flag off National Integration Tour at Jalukie

Jalukie: By embracing diversity and celebrating shared heritage, we lay foundation for stronger, more inclusive society: Col Bhadoria

Col M S Bhadoria, SM, commandant of 25 Assam Rifles flagged off the National Integration Tour at Jalukie on Tuesday. Twenty students from St Xavier’s College, Jalukie will be taken on an exposure trip to Kolkata, Shillong and Guwahati. During the 10 days tour, students will be given exposure of various places which are of cultural, academic and national importance.

Addressing the gathering, Col M S Bhadoria, SM, highlighted the importance of the tour in shaping the future leaders of tomorrow. “The National Integration Tour is more than just a journey—it is an opportunity for our youth to explore, learn, and grow together,”, he said, adding that “By embracing diversity and celebrating our shared heritage, we lay the foundation for a stronger, more inclusive society.”

The flag off ceremony was attended by students, parents, local administration officers, community leaders, and representatives from various civil society organizations (CSOs) came together which underscored the significance of the National Integration Tour in promoting understanding, harmony, and mutual respect among diverse communities.

During the tour, students will have the opportunity to interact with local communities, engage in cultural exchanges, and participate in educational activities aimed at promoting mutual respect and understanding, the Assam Rifles informed in a press release. The tour also seeks to instill in students a sense of pride in their diverse heritage and a commitment to upholding the values of unity and inclusivity.
