Assam Rifles organises Unity Spike Challenge Inter village volleyball tournament in Peren

The Assam Rifles, stationed in the Peren District of Nagaland, organized the Unity Spike Challenge, an inter-village volleyball tournament.  The tournament commenced on March 11 at six Company Operating Bases in the district.

The Assam Rifles’ Unity Spike Challenge, an assam rifles initiative aimed at fostering unity and collaboration among neighboring communities, brought together passionate volleyball enthusiasts from various villages, informed a press release. 40 teams from various villages across Peren participated in the tournament.

According to the press release, “The competition was fierce, with teams giving their all to secure a spot in the final. Throughout the tournament, teams demonstrated unwavering determination and sportsmanship, captivating spectators with their skillful plays and strategic maneuvers.”

In the final showdown, the Tenning Village team exhibited exceptional teamwork and resilience emerging as the Champions while the runners-up, representing Athibung Village, displayed commendable sportsmanship and skill, pushing the Tenning Village team to their limits in a thrilling match that kept spectators on the edge of their seats until the final point.

“Assam Rifles’ Unity Spike Challenge 2024 not only celebrated the love for the sport but also highlighted the significant commitment of the Assam Rifles in fostering bonds of friendship and unity within the communities of Nagaland,” mentioned the Assam Rifles.
