Assessment camps on ADIP and RVY scheme held at Tuensang

A series of ADIP & RVY Assessment Camps for provision of free assistive devices, wheelchair, hearing aids to Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) and senior citizens were held in 4 blocks of Tuensang District -Noksen, Chare, Longkhim and Sangsangnyu from August 4 to 7.

The Camp was organized jointly by Chief Medical Officer Tuensang, Artificial Limbs Manufacturing Corporations of India (ALIMCI) Kanpur and DWO Tuensang, and supported by District hospital Tuensang, PHC Noksen, Chare, CHC  Longkhim and UPHC Tuensang.

Disability assessment and Certification of PwDs was also conducted by CMO Tuensang, Dr. Imlitemsu Ozukum.

The PwDs were also issued UDID Cards and were educated on their PwD rights and various benefits. All together, a total of 1120 persons (ADIP-291 & RVY-829) were assessed during the 4 days Camp, out of which 291 Disability Certificates were issued and same number of UDID Cards were generated.
