In the interest of the students’ community appearing HSLC, HSSLC & CBSE Examinations, the Angami Students’ Union had, earlier, appealed for a noise free environment during the exam period through a press release on February 8, 2025. However, the Union mentioned that several complaints were received about non compliance from the Assam Rifles IGAR North D Block Kohima, cafes/restaurants and certain pockets around Kohima town, indulging in playing loud music during unusual hours.
“The Angami Students’ Union is resolute in initiating any measures/actions to accost any such cases menacing the career of the students’ community. However, acknowledging the competency of the district administration, the union have submitted a formal complaint to the Deputy Commissioner Kohima on the 16th February, 2025,” stated the Union in another press release issued today.

The union, has once again, appealed the public, individuals and other entities to kindly extend their cooperation by abstaining from public nuisance in order to allow the students’ a conducive environment to prepare and appear for their examinations.
The Angami Students’ Union also requested the respective colony panchayat/council and youth organizations to kindly ensure that such unwelcoming activities are not tolerated.
“Let us not only celebrate the success of a student but also encourage and ameliorate their well-being,” stated the Union.
