The Angami Students’ Union (ASU) has appealed to the Nagaland Public Service Commission (NPSC) to be cautious in conducting examinations to avoid humiliating the efforts of aspirants and causing them mental and physical trauma.

In its letter to the Secretary of NPSC, the ASU President Khriesamhalie David Mere and General Secretary Vimeyiekho Vitso particularly mentioned the cancellation and nullifying of certain Combined Technical Services Examinations (Engineering Services) 2023 conducted by the commission.

The students’ body said that it was perturbed by the “topsy-turvy situations” produced by the examinations and accused NPSC of endangering the fate of the aspirants.

“The yearlong preparation of the aspirants which are earnest in nature should never be humiliated by such contentious examinations which only invites for re-examination,” ASU stated.

The union also said that it will not “tolerate further similar cases at any cost or explanation!”

In the recent CTSE examinations, multiple question discrepancies were found including repetition of questions and erroneous questions, forcing NPSC to nullify those examinations to the distress of the aspirants.
