The case involving the physical assault on a driver by 14 IR E- Coy last month has been resolved between the concerned parties.

On 23 August, the Longmatra Area Citizens Union of Kiphire Town had filed an FIR at Kiphire Police Station against 14 IR E-COY for physically assaulting Atsoba T Sangtam in public on 22 August.

The Union clarified today that the issue of physical assault by the IR jawans towards their concerned citizen has now been resolved between the two concerned parties peacefully.

When asked about further details of the agreement between the parties, they denied to comment any further on the matter.

However, the union briefly clarified that the issue had been resolved a few days ago and that they hope such incidents will not be repeated by any individual or group in the future.
