Author Avitho-o Loucü’s new book, ‘Naga Hustlers,’ was officially released today at the Jini Study Centre. Published by 6th Finger Publishers, the guide encourages personal development through health, financial, and relational growth, framed within a critical examination of contemporary Naga society.

Inspired by his sister’s determination to earn her MBBS degree, Loucü defines a “hustler” as someone who relentlessly pursues their dreams. The book addresses a broad spectrum of issues, from social media’s pitfalls and Nagaland’s economic landscape to mental health challenges like depression and the influence of pornography. It also includes an analysis of the Marwari community’s role in the state’s economy.

Publisher Sentinaro Longkumer recalled being immediately struck by Loucü’s passion. She praised the book’s diverse yet relevant chapters, which cover topics from gym culture and unemployment to the Oting incident.

“The inclusion of profiles of local Naga entrepreneurs makes the content highly relatable,” Longkumer said, expressing confidence in the book’s potential to impact society significantly.

William Seleho, proprietor of Magdaline Coaching Centre, which is featured in a chapter, described the book as a “meaningful reflection of our lives,” sharing that it resonates with his own struggles with alcoholism and business setbacks.

CTAN convenor Meshenlo Kath highlighted the book’s timely focus on Nagaland’s high unemployment rate. He emphasized its call for a shift from a government-job mindset towards skill-based entrepreneurship and education, noting that while Nagas have undergone rapid change, entrepreneurs still face significant challenges.
