Awards were presented during the State level Independence Day celebration at Nagaland Civil Secretariat Plaza, Kohima on August 15.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Nagaland, Bendangwati Ao was awarded the President Police Medal for Meritorious service.

The awardees announced for the Police Medal for meritorious service were Commissioner of Police, Kevithuto Sophie and Commandant Nagaland, Aboli Metha.

Governor’s Award for Gold Medal were awarded to Niak 2nd NAP Battalion, Takonungba, Athletic coach Khriezotuonuo Theunuo and Hito Kito ‘The Nagaland Madrigal Singers’.
