A 15-day long awareness and benefit saturation campaign under the Ministry of Tribal Welfare was launched at Old Town Hall, Tening on June 16.
Additional Deputy Commissioner, K Furhesie Nyuwi briefed the line department on DAA, stating that the campaign aims to raise awareness, organise saturation camps and provide essential government services to eligible citizens.
Key services to be provided during the ongoing 15-day DDA campaign included Aadhaar registration, registration under PM Kishan, KCC, MNREGA and the old-age pension scheme, PMMVY, PMJJBY, PMJDY, and other government schemes for the benefit of all villages in Tening Subdivision.
The initiative is part of the ongoing effort to empower rural communities and ensure equal access to government services for everyone.
Representatives from all government departments, Tening Town Councils, and village councils from Tening subdivision attended the event.

DC Tseminyu, Japheth Woch with officials and participants during the launching programme of Janjatiya Gaurav awareness and benefit saturation camp held at Gukhanyu Village, Tseminyu
The celebration of Janjatiya Gaurav awareness and benefit saturation Camp was launched at Council Hall, Gukhanyu Village under Tseminyu District on June 16.
During the launching program, DC Tseminyu, Japheth Woch (NCS) urged all the public to actively participate and to take advantage of the benefits being offered by various welfare schemes related to health, education, social welfare, livelihood, housing and skills development.
The DC also acknowledged that the IEC awareness campaign and saturation Camp for welfare schemes including PM Kisan Nidhi, KCC, Agriculture department, Aadhaar card operation, Ayushman Bharat Card (PMJAY) CMHIS health & family welfare, Jan Dhan Yojana Mudra loan bank, social security for women and child welfare schemes of Social Welfare Department, employment and livelihood schemes under Rural Development and District Industries Centre and Food & Civil Supplies for ration card registration.
The District Administration will coordinate with all concerned line departments to ensure smooth conduct of the camp.
