The 28 Assam Rifles, under the aegis of 7 Sector Assam Rifles, conducted an awareness lecture and interactive session on the topic “Career Opportunity in Indian Arms Force” in Tuensang town on Tuesday.

The event was aimed to inspire and educate the aspirant youth of Tuensang town about the diverse and rewarding career options available in the Indian Armed Forces, a press release from AR stated.

The awareness lecture was attended by 269 youth and covered various aspects of careers within the Indian Army, Navy, Air Force and para military forces, highlighting the excellent prospects for individuals with different interests and skill sets.

Aluta Z Thsanso, advisor to Eastern Nagaland Women Association (ENWO), while motivating the youth also emphasised the importance of women’s participation in the defence forces and the valuable contributions they can make.

During the interactive session, successful officers shared their personal journeys and experiences within the armed forces and further deepened the participants’ understanding of the dedication and sacrifices required in serving the nation as part of the Indian armed forces, AR informed.

The awareness lecture in Tuensang Town successfully ignited a sense of pride and responsibility towards the country with many expressing their strong desire to pursue careers in the defence sector.
