A women menstrual health and hygiene awareness programme along with sanitary pads distribution was organised by District Hub for Empowerment of Women (DHEW) on November 14 at Cultural hall Shamator.
The programme aimed to educate adolescent girls and women on the importance of proper menstrual hygiene and health practices. The awareness session focused on understanding the menstrual cycle, maintaining cleanliness during menstruation period, safe uses of sanitary products and addressing common myths and taboos.

Participants were encouraged to adopt hygienic habits and seek correct information regarding menstrual health.
After the awareness session, sanitary pads were distributed to all the adolescents girls and women present in the program. The initiative helped promote safe menstrual practices and supported those who may have limited access to hygiene products.
