In collaboration with the District Administration Tuensang, a One day Awareness Programme on functioning of the Nagaland Lokayukta was held at DC Conference Hall, Tuensang on 29th May, 2024 chaired by Banuo Z Jamir Lokayukta, Nagaland informed DIPR.

Banuo Z Jamir, Lokayukta Nagaland highlighted that Lokayukta is an independent body that have authority to inquire into the allegations of Corruption, abuse of power and maladministration in functioning of government offices and public servants. They play a crucial role in promoting transparency and accountability in public administration in the state.
A. Zibenthung Kithan DC, Tuensang showed appreciation to the Nagaland Lokayukta team led by Banou Z Jamir for their tireless work in creating awareness in Lokayukta in the district.
Mayang Lima Upa Lokayukta spoke on Nagaland Lokayukta ACT, 2017 and PC Act, 1988, while Khanrinla T Koza Upa Lokayukta spoke on Whistle Blowers Protection Act, 2024.
The programme ended with the vote of thanks by P. Mono Khiamniungan Secretary, Nagaland Lokayukta.
