Awareness Programme on Sanitation held in Atoizu

The Atoizu Town Council (ATC) organized an Awareness Programme on Sanitation at DBs Hall, Atoizu under Zunheboto on 13th February 2025. The event was chaired by Councillor ATC, Vinus Awomi, who emphasized the importance of sanitation and hygiene in public health.

The programme began with an invocation by Khevikali, Youth Pastor, Atoizu Town Baptist Church (SBAK Nito Mount). Kitoli Naje, Chairperson, ATC, delivering the keynote address, highlighted the council’s commitment to cleanliness and environmental responsibility.

Short speeches were presented by Nukutulu S Venuh, NCS, Additional Deputy Commissioner & Executive Officer, ATC, Dr. Samuel Akho Konyak P, Extra Assistant Commissioner, Atoizu, and Ivuka Z Katty, Deputy Chairman, ATC. The speakers stressed the need for active community participation in maintaining sanitation standards.

The event concluded with a benediction by Helibo, Catechist, St. Peter’s Church, Atoizu. Various stakeholders, including GBs, church leaders, PHC staff, and representatives from STL, SUAT, and ARSU, attended the programme, reaffirming their commitment to a cleaner Atoizu.
