The Angami Women Organisation (AWO) has expressed outrage on the reported physical assault on a nursing student at District Hospital Dimapur.
“Such acts of violence on women, particularly against young professionals who dedicate their lives to serving others, are deeply disturbing and have no place in a civilised society. Nurses and healthcare workers play an essential role in our communities who gives so much of themselves, and they deserve respect, protection and a safe working environment. Any attack on them is an attack on the very values of humanity and justice,” stated the AWO in a condemnation note issued on February 27.
