AYO reiterates WAYO memorandum; demands serious investigation and fair justice

The Angami Youth Organization (AYO) today demanded for seriousness in investigation and justice for the May 18 assault and subsequent death of Kezhalelie Lawrence Miasalhou by two accused.

“Considering the sequence of events that unfolded on the fateful day of 18th May, every citizen, the young and old is outraged by the act of Neizosetuo Kire and Khriestsonyü Whuorie, who had assaulted Kezhalelie Lawrence Miasalhou and his son Thejavizo Miasalhou, subsequently leading to the death of Kezhalelie Lawrence Miasalhou,” stated the President Kesosul Christopher Ltu           and Press Secretary Thepfusavi Suohu in a press release.

While extending its heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family, the AYO also conveyed its gratitude to the family members of Lt. Kezhalelie Lawrence Miasalhou and the Western Angami Youth Organisation (WAYO) for their magnanimity and understanding shown at this crucial juncture in the pursuit of justice.

“Through the initiative of the Western Angami Youth Organisation (WAYO) the matter has been democratically addressed to the office of the Deputy Commissioner, Kohima by posing faith on the investigating agencies and judiciary to deliver justice,” mentioned the AYO.

In this regard, the Organization reiterated the memorandum of the Western Angami Youth Organisation (WAYO), and demanded for outmost seriousness in investigating the incident and “befitting punishment for the perpetrators as per the law of the land.”
