The Silaphalakam (memorial plaque) program, marking the commemoration of the 75th Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, was solemnly observed at the Helipad ground in Thonoknyu HQ under Noklak district on Thursday, a DIPR report stated. The ceremony was marked by the unfurling of the National Flag by SDO Civil Tsiatsusie, followed by a Rastriya Salute rendered by Nagaland police and the rendition of the National Anthem by Government High School Thonoknyu.

SDO Tsiatsusie took the opportunity to pay homage to the valiant heroes who laid down their lives in defense of India’s freedom and pride. The program also included a symbolic act of planting trees in the Thonoknyu town area, signifying growth and continuity.

The event witnessed the participation of esteemed individuals, including DBs, GBs, and the Adhoc Town Committee.
