Advisor, Industries & Commerce, Hekani Jakhalu has said that most officers come with great expectations and enthusiasm to bring change but often due to the bad legacy and trend, it becomes difficult to bring about changes, however, in the case of Chümoukedima it is a white slate, meaning the officers are going to lay a foundation.
She was addressing the monthly DPDB meeting was held on Monday at DC Office Conference Hall, Chümoukedima which she and ADC Chümoukedima, Dr Kuzonyi Wideo chaired, DIPR informed.
The Advisor reminded all Government employees to know the roots from where their daily bread comes, once they know the roots, they will be sincere and can bring a change. Further, she assured the officers her assistance and support in whatever way she can or contribute to the development of districts and various departments and look forward to learning and working together as a team.
During the DPDB meeting, the house reviewed the last meeting on the agenda for Grant-in-Aid for Highland Secondary School, Naga United Village where it has been deferred again to the next meeting due to incomplete verification. Society registration of Chümoukedima District Butcher Union; Chumoukedima Gorkha Union was approved by the house.
Agendas deliberated at the meeting included – poposal of Road renovation/ repair work along Nagaland Zoological Park wall- EE, PWD(R&B); detailed report on erosional activity of Chathe river and way forward by EE, Water Resources; proposal on Acquisition of land for cemetery by NTUCT; proposal on repair of road & drainage in Chumoukedima Town by NTUCT; Improvement in Power Supply in Chumoukedima Town by NTUCT; proposal on Rural Waste Management Plan for Seithekema Circle by EAC, Seithekema; Construction of DCP Office, Chumoukedima; LADP Fund for 5 Ghaspani – II AC, where the house has approved and put forward the proposal for further support and necessary actions.
Other agendas deliberated during the DPDB meeting were approval of Societies/ Schools by the Committees where it was deliberated and approved by the house. While PowerPoint presentation was given by District Industries Centre, Dimapur & Tourism Office, Dimapur respectively.
