Bailey Baptist College celebrates 28th Foundation Day

Wokha: Graduates felicitated with mementos, certificates for their accomplishments

Bailey Baptist College, Wokha celebrated its 28th Foundation Day with a vibrant programme on Monday.

Speaking at the event, Dr. Apeni Lotha, President of the Governing Body, commended the proactive roles played by both staff and students in driving the college’s progress. She praised the students for their outstanding academic performances and urged them to continue their hard work and dedication.

T. Penthungo Lotha, Acting Principal, emphasized the importance of stakeholder participation in stimulating desired changes and development within the institution. In his speech, he highlighted the significant achievements and rich history of Bailey Baptist College, encouraging collective effort for continuous improvement through the college administration, the Governing Body and the proactive roles of the Church (WTBC).

The event also featured the felicitation of graduates, who were honoured with mementos and certificates for their accomplishments.

The programme was chaired by Leonard Mozhui, Head of the English Department. Chumbenthung Murry, Assistant Pastor of WTBC, led a special prayer, and the vote of thanks was delivered by Achumbeni Humtsoe, Vice Principal of Bailey Baptist College. Wondangbeni Kikon, a 5th-semester student, and N Yanpothung Ezung, Head of the Sociology Department, each performed special numbers.
