The Business Association of Nagas (BAN) held a comprehensive Capacity Building Program today in collaboration with the Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI), with the objective of enhancing financial literacy and strengthening awareness of MSME-oriented schemes and credit facilities.
The session provided an in-depth overview of SIDBI’s direct lending products including EXPRESS, SPEED, ARISE, and STHAPAN, offering financial assistance ranging from Rs 50,000 to Rs 50 crore for expansion, modernization, working capital requirements, and greenfield projects. Special emphasis was laid on the
PRAYAAS scheme for informal micro enterprises, Green Finance initiatives, GST Sahay (invoice-based financing), and thematic products designed to support women, SC/ST, and export-oriented entrepreneurs.
The interactive session, facilitated by BAN members, sensitized participants on the significance of financial preparedness, structured business planning, and procedural requirements for availing institutional credit. Entrepreneurs were guided on eligibility norms, digital loan application processes, and prudent financial management practices.
