Bayavü HSS holds career guidance program with experts from EduCentre

Kohima: Talent and interest should always go hand in hand, resource person states

A career guidance program was organised by Bayavü Higher Secondary School, Kohima on 24 August 2023 at De Oriental Grand, Bayavü, Kohima. The program was held with the aim to make its students aware of the various courses and to help them in choosing the career that is right for them. The event was conducted by a team of experts from EduCentre.

There were two sessions in the program. The first session was tailored from students from class 8 to 10, while the second session was for classes 11 and 12 students.

The resource person from EduCentre introduced the students to the various options under traditional and professional courses and also made aware of which to pursue based on the subject choices they would make. He also discussed the various resources available to students to help them make right career decisions.

He further advised the students that it is very important to know one’s strengths and weaknesses and encouraged the students to explore and experiment before they make any decisions. The resource person also stressed on the importance of choosing a career that they love. Talent and interest should always go hand in hand, he added.

Queries raised by the students at the end of each session were addressed by the EduCentre team. Both sessions were immensely enriching and interesting and was well received by both the teachers and students of Bayavü Higher Secondary School.
