Benny Prasad, the renowned gospel musician and world record holder for the fastest time to visit 245 countries, addressed students at the Government Middle School (GMS) Bayavü Kohima on November 15. Prasad graced the Class 8 Farewell Programme of the school as a Special Guest.
During the program, he urged students to dream big and have patience, emphasizing that embracing Jesus Christ as the center of his life had brought about significant changes.
Prasad shared his life testimony, encouraging children not to belittle themselves or harbor inferiority complexes due to their situations. He pointed out examples of individuals who achieved success in fields like IAS, cricket, and other arenas despite humble beginnings.
Asserting that ‘if God is on your side, nothing can stand against you,’ Prasad advised students to pray and believe that God would provide for them daily, empowering them to become change-makers in the future. Highlighting his own global musical journey as a testament to God’s work, Prasad stressed the importance of committing to prayer and asking Jesus to do great things for His glory. The program featured exhortations from Kikruneinuo Liezietsu, Head Teacher of GMS Bayavü, and Vithongunuo Asst. Head Teacher. Outgoing students were represented by Iringneile, who delivered a speech on behalf of the class. Special prayers and blessings were offered by Inakali, the class teacher, and the benediction was given by Tolivi. The program, led by Ramkiula, included a welcome address by Rangbey, Bible reading, and an invocation prayer by Eangyu. Class 7 students presented a special song, and Langshen, a Class 7 student, delivered a speech titled ‘Remembering Our Times Together.
