The Bharat Scouts and Guides conducted a camp at at John Yesong Memorial School, Phelungre Village, from October 9 to 12, in Kiphire district. The camp aimed to enhance the skills, teamwork, and leadership qualities of the youth, with 52 students and 6 teachers participating from five schools in Kiphire Town.
The camp acknowledged the contribution of the Assam Rifles which assisted them by providing crucial material and logistical support.

In line with its commitment to community development and youth empowerment, Assam Rifles provided extensive support, including tentage, logistical backing, and other essential resources. “These efforts ensured a secure and enriching experience for all participants. As part of the camp activities, a motivational lecture was given by company commander from Phleungre company operating base during the campfire, inspiring the Scouts and Guides to build their character by embracing the values of self-discipline, social service, and patriotism. The youth were also encouraged to consider a career in the armed forces as a fulfilling way to serve the nation,” stated a press release.
