The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has directed Member of Parliament Kangana Ranaut not to make statements on Party policy issues.

The actress who got elected to the Lok Sabha in the recently held General Election from Himachal Pradesh had stirred another controversy with her remarks on the farmers’ protest during an interview where she said that the protest could have led to Bangladesh-like situation. She alleged that China and America were involved in the farmers’ protest and that if not for the “foresight of our leadership they would have succeeded.”

Ranaut also suggested that there were rapes and bodies hanging during the farmers’ protest.

In the press release, the BJP Central Media Department said, “The statement given by BJP MP Ms. Kangana Ranaut in the context of farmers’ movement is not the opinion of the party.”

“On behalf of the Party, Ms. Kangana Ranaut is neither permitted nor authorized to make statements on Party policy issues,” it stated.

Disagreeing with her statement and directing her not to make any such statement in the future, the BJP said that it is “determined to follow the principles of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas and Sabka Prayas’ and social harmony.”

Meanwhile, the Congress Party has questioned if the “Modi government feels that foreign powers are interfering in the internal affairs of our country, then what steps are being taken regarding this?”

It has said that Haryana will answer to BJP MPs “calling the food providers murderers and rapists” in the forthcoming State Assembly election

BJP leaders have used many abusive words against farmers, now their MPs are also calling the food providers murderers and rapists – we will not answer this – Haryana will answer in a few days.

Kangana Ranaut was earlier in June slapped by a CISF constable at the Chandigarh Airport over the remarks the MP and actress made on the farmers’ protest.
