The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Kiphire unit on Wednesday organised an event at its office premises commemorating 11 years of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government at the Centre.
In his address, president BJP Kiphire Tali C Sangtam highlighted about the achievements of the BJP-led NDA government in India and in the state as well. He said that even though Kiphire is one of the most remote districts in India, the people of the district were receiving the same benefits as people in other parts of the country.
He shared that the NDA government has also brought developments to the state. Highlighting some of the major achievements, Sangtam mentioned that 81 crore people in India are getting free grain rations every month; 15 crore households, including those in Kiphire, now have tap water connections through the Jal Jeevan Mission; 4 crore houses have been built under the PM Awas Yojana to provide homes to the poor; 10.33 crore LPG connections have been given to poor families under the Ujjwala Yojana, helping them cook safely and cleanly.
He also stated that 60% of the ministers in PM Modi’s cabinet are from SC, ST, OBC and minority communities, which indicates the government’s inclusive approach.
