The office of the BJP Mokokchung district, on Monday, notified that the office will “cease normal activities for three says i.e., from November 1-3, 2022.”

This order for the closure of office, according to the notification, is to facilitate ‘karyakartas’ or party workers to attend the Ao Baptist Arogo Mungdang (ABAM) Sesquicentenary celebration at Impur, Mokokchung.

The party wished all the citizens of the district and Nagas on the momentous 150 years of the arrival of Christianity.

The district party office has encouraged the BJP workers to attend the programmes physically or to watch them live on television and “receive God’s blessings”. It has also appealed the ‘karyakartas’ to observe the coming days in prayer and thanksgiving.

The office also stated that party works will be permitted only in cases of emergency such as if directed by “the BJP Nagaland State Office (Kohima) or BJP Central Office, New Delhi”.
