The Bharatiya Janata Party Nagaland Mahila Morcha organised a Sushasan Sammelan–cum–Felicitation Programme under Atal Smriti Varsh at Hotel Saramati, Dimapur on December 31. The programme was held to honour senior karyakartas who rendered dedicated service to the party during the tenure of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
State Secretary and Convenor, Atal Smriti Varsh, Pintu M Ghosh, highlighted the visionary leadership and legacy of Atal Bihari Vajpayee, describing his tenure as a benchmark of Good Governance (Sushasan). He stated that Vajpayee’s governance was anchored in transparency, accountability, consensus-building, and inclusive development.
He recalled Vajpayee’s emphasis on strengthening democratic institutions, expanding national infrastructure, improving connectivity, and ensuring balanced regional growth, which laid a strong foundation for India’s long-term progress. He also acknowledged the invaluable contributions of senior BJP workers in Nagaland who played a crucial role in strengthening the organisation over the years.
Speaking on Good Governance, State Mahila Morcha President, Tsachola Rothrong recalled the observance of Good Governance Day on the birth anniversary of Atal Bihari Vajpayee. She stated that Vajpayee’s governance philosophy combined development with compassion, ensuring that progress reached the most marginalised sections of society.
She highlighted his efforts in promoting education, infrastructure development, and democratic values, while also strengthening women’s empowerment through inclusive and progressive policies.

Earlier, the programme was chaired by Office Secretary BJMM, Neeta Agarwal, and Vice President BJMM, Emi Lotha invoked God’s blessings. The welcome address was delivered by VP BJMM, Kashini Kiba. A poetry recitation was presented by Aletheia Sangtam (Class VI), Little Star School, Dimapur, followed by a special musical presentation by Prem Mech. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by VP BJMM, Swapna Dewan Rai.
The programme was attended by BJP State officials, leaders of State Morchas, senior party leaders, and well-wishers, reaffirming the collective commitment to the ideals of Sushasan and the enduring legacy of Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
It may be mentioned that a similar programme, Kavi Sammelan, was earlier organised by the Atal Smriti Varsh Committee of BJP Nagaland at Jain Bhawan, Dimapur.
