BJP Nagaland urges Rly Minister to resume Dimapur Rly Station redevelopment project

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Nagaland today urged the Minister for Railways, Ashwini Vaishnaw to swiftly resume the stalled project of Dimapur Railway station to meet the growing needs of passengers and boost regional connectivity.

BJP Nagaland President, Benjamin Yepthomi, along with former MLAs and representatives from Dimapur Railway Union today met Union Minister of Railways in New Delhi and deliberated on the long-pending redevelopment project of Dimapur Railway Station.

The delegation emphasized on the strategic importance of Dimapur as a gateway to the Northeast and urged for the swift resumption of the stalled project.

In a statement, the BJP Nagaland said transformation of the former “Look East Policy” into the proactive “Act East Policy” under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister, Amit Shah has brought renewed emphasis on connectivity, infrastructure and inclusive growth in the Northeast.

It said Nagaland’s Railway infrastructure is witnessing significant progress under the able leadership of Ashwini Vaishnaw, adding the redevelopment of Dimapur Railway station is expected to further enhance regional connectivity and catalyze socio-economic growth in the state.
