Celebrating the 25th Edition of the Hornbill Festival 2024, the Voluntary Blood Donors Association, Nagaland (VBDAN) organized a blood donation drive at Kisama Heritage village Opposite Chapel Hall on December 6.
The’drive was collaboratively supported by the Department of Tourism Nagaland , Indian Redcross Society,Nagaland Branch, Canara HSBC (Life Insurance), HDFC Bank, 13th Assam Rifles , 164 TA Naga, Blood Centre, NHAK, Imprint, Imagi.nation and Fifth Note band.

The Voluntary Blood Donors Association President, Burakum Ao in his speech highlighted on the importance of donating blood and saving lives. He thanked all the collaborators and donors for their immense support and contribution. Ao also stated that the voluntary blood association has always hosted and will continue to hold more drives in the days to come and urged upon every capable donors to support the cause .
The VBDAK also have an app called the ‘Nagaland Blood Donors’ where one can get register as a Voluntary Blood Donor to donate as well as to receive Blood in times of need. VBDAK has been assisting many patients in times of emergency through voluntary blood donations.
