Presidents of Tuensang, Shamator, Tseminyu District Amateur Boxing Association have raised serious concerns about the fairness and transparency of the election to the Nagaland Amateur Boxing Association held on August 9.
According to a statement, they said they have submitted all the necessary documents in a timely manner to exercise their voting rights. However, despite fulfilling all the requirement they unjustly denied their voting rights to vote.
They further stated that denial of voting rights to duly qualified members to raise questions about the legitimacy of the election process.
“It is imperative that the electoral process is fair, transparent and inclusive to ensure the credibility of the Nagaland Amateur boxing Association,” they stated.
They urged the relevant authorities to investigate this matter and take necessary actions to address the concerns raised and to uphold the integrity of the electoral process and maintain trust and confidence of the members in general.
