In the latest directive from Kohima Deputy Commissioner, Shanavas C, IAS, all roadside shops in Kohima that fit into the less presentable category such as butcher shops, coffin shops, garages, workshops, etc had been asked to dress up for the G20 Summit which is to be held in the state capital from 4-6 April 2023.
The DC informed all such shops “to hang presentable and transparent blinds with uniform colours to enhance the image of the township”. The DC also asked buildings under construction to be disguised with green colour mesh.
